Strong winds and periodic showers caused the day's walk location to be moved to Comox from the scheduled East Puntledge area. A forested trail system is just not appropriate under such windy conditions.
In the end, it was a good decision and we enjoyed a brisk walk that included the Comox Marina breakwater and Filberg Park. All the spring bloom in yards and parks was a highlight along the route and our Benino's debrief a suitable ending with ice cream cones and cappuccinos being the purchases of choice.
