Members who attended our Monthly Gathering on October 2 learned about DIG FM and "community-powered radio."
Our guest speakers, Jamie Bowman and Derrick Harvey, are Board members with the Comox Valley Community Broadcasting Society, a donor-funded and volunteer-based organization. This radio station, recently re-branded as DIG FM (formerly CVOX), is moving toward its goal of getting on the Comox Valley’s FM airwaves.

The club's President, Jennifer Smith, provided members with some updates. Gord Tarzwell, Activity Groups Director, invited members to consider volunteering for Activity Coordinator openings. The Genealogy Group's Activity Coordinator, Ian Thompson, encouraged members to join this group to enjoy sharing genealogy research tools and experiences. Cat Pedersen, Technical Director, announced the upcoming Magic of Christmas at Butchart Gardens Bus Tour on behalf of this event's coordinator, Steve Ray.
